Fitness has gained worldwide popularity. The need for classes, personal training and, of course, my favorite semi-private workout has exploded with the growing popularity of Fitness. Many people and companies have committed to doing this.

This is a good thing, but buyers are cautious. Not all fitness professionals are created equal. I believe that there are three main categories of fitness professionals: coach, trainer and facilitator.

This is a good thing, but buyers are cautious. Not all fitness professionals are created equal. I believe that there are three main categories of fitness professionals: coach, trainer and facilitator.

Moderator

An artist is a person who, as a rule, is a great athlete himself and can do really striking things. You base your training on the things that you can or that look cool, and not on what you need.

Uninformed people will see the artist doing cool things and maybe think: “This person must be a good coach. Look at all these cool things you are doing!”Although all these “cool things” are impressive and attractive, they are probably extremely difficult and not suitable for the general population.

Whatever your individual needs and abilities, the artist will simply throw you into the meat grinder. If you can’t move the way you want to or if something hurts, you are told not to worry about it. “Just crush that and shoot at it.”

Most people walk away from the artist without progress and may even be issued. This person is looking for The coach.

Trainer

A good trainer is someone who will teach you how to perform an exercise correctly and safely, write you a program and send you on your way. Once you have shown enough skills to perform the exercise, the instruction stops. A coach usually holds something, so you should always contact the coach for more information.

You probably won’t have much context on why or how you should apply this exercise yourself. After leaving a coach, you will somehow feel dissatisfied and want more.

Trainer

A Coach is a person who can identify what you need as an individual and teach you the skills you need to meet those needs. He or she will give you enough information, context and encouragement to use these skills in absentia. With a Coach, you will feel supported and you will improve not only in your skills, but also as a person.

In the context of fitness, an example of a good trainer is someone who will not only teach you how to do deadlifts, for example, but also explain how exercise affects your body and how exercise relates to the rest of your life.

Once you have become an adequate beginner in the exercise, a trainer should encourage you to explore this movement in different ways and for yourself. Your Coach will be there when you return to help you solve any problems or explain why you had these experiences yourself. In other words, a Coach doesn’t just feed you with a spoon, he guides your learning in a collaborative way.

A coach can be someone that you overtake at some point because he has given you everything he can and leaves nothing on the table. At this point, you must have enough knowledge and understanding to pass on what you have learned so that you can also improve someone else’s life.

Use a coach to become autonomous

We want to help you learn and develop as an individual (both personally and in terms of fitness) while getting good workouts. We want you to share your questions and concerns with us so that you are an active driver of your own results, not just a passenger.
